Unifiber Welcomes Ben van der Steen

UNIFIBER IS HAPPY TO WELCOME BEN VAN DER STEEN TO THE TEAM!

Ben joined the professional circuit in 1999. Now a seasoned PWA veteran he has an enormous amount of racing knowledge and is no stranger to the podium spotlight. He is also no stranger to Unifiber:

“I have known Job, the founder of Unifiber, for almost the whole of my windsurfing career. From the very beginning I have been involved with the testing of the equipment.”

While continuing to compete on the PWA and representing the brand, Ben brings his significant experience to the Unifiber R&D testing program.

“I will be riding the new Unifiber booms in competition as they are releasing a high-end boom which is innovative, solid and light. I will be focusing on improving the products where possible, as well as testing for durability.”

KEYNOTE FROM JOB VERBUNT, FOUNDER OF UNIFIBER:

“Ben and I sailed at the same home spot at the Grevelingendam, Holland, back in 2003 when Unifiber was founded.

Since then we never had the opportunity to work together, but happily this has changed. Ben brings a wealth of experience at the highest level, which will enable us to further improve our product lines, to meet the expectations of the most demanding windsurfers out there.”
