I was introduced to diving and race sailing in Alicante, Spain, during my military staff officer time with the Spanish Special Forces. After getting my PhD I moved to the US with a NATO scientific grant. Later I was appointed postdoctoral fellow at MIT and become a member of its windsurf sailing team there. After two seasons in the team, and diving frequently in the Cape Cod area, work bought me back to Spain, where I have continued to pursue these passions.
I started sailing Formula Winsurfing and more recently slalom. Currently, I am the only Spanish windsurfer competing on both the IFCA (International Funboard Class Association) and PWA (Professional Windsurfing Association) circuits. In the 2016 Masters European Championships I finished 18th, and in 2017 I finished 5th overall as well as 1st Spanish sailor. When I began racing it soon became clear to me that Unifiber equipment performs at top level.
Why unifiber?
In my experience Unifiber gear offers the best performance and - at the same time - is so durable, easy-to-use and versatile. It's very impressive gear.
